Multi-warehouse management platform

The WMS built for how South Asia actually ships.

Cash on delivery, thousands of small sellers, a dozen couriers and sale days that double the floor. Octane is the software that runs marketplace-scale fulfilment on exactly that, across any number of warehouses, with every unit scanned from the seller's box to the courier's van.

The app chooses the work

An agent opens the app. Octane decides what happens next.

Nobody hands out work on an Octane floor. Every task is a one-person scan loop, and the system picks the next batch, the next trolley and the next aisle. The busier the day, the better it gets.

  • ✓
One person, any taskReceive, put away, pick, pack, count, recover: each is a guided scan loop a single agent runs end to end. New hires match veteran accuracy in their first two weeks.
  • ✓
Picking that batches itselfOrders are grouped by where their stock sits. The densest batch goes first, any order older than 18 hours jumps the queue, and no two agents are ever sent for the same unit.
  • ✓
Replenishment that thinks aheadAisles are scored by order age, then density. Reserve stock moves to the pick faces before a picker needs it, walked rack by rack in a single pass.
  • ✓
Stale stock cleared on its ownSKUs sitting past 90 days of supply are pulled off prime bins automatically, so fast movers always have the easy reach.

A denser queue means more picks per aisle in every batch, so the same crew ships more per hour as volume rises. Capacity does not scale with headcount; it outruns it.
Two ways to run the floor

Configure every rule yourself. Or switch on Intelligent mode and let Octane run it.

Everything that moves a unit is a setting: slotting, batching, replenishment, routing, service targets. Set them by hand, or flip one switch and the system tunes them from live analytics, all day, every day.

ConfiguredYou decide. Octane executes.
  • Slotting rulesPick faces, reserve, SKU-per-bin caps and no-mix-variants, by zone
  • Batching rulesSingle or multi, segment order, the age at which an order jumps the queue
  • Replenishment triggersMinimum pick-face levels, aisle priority, session length
  • Routing rulesRestrict, prefer, ship from, ship separately, drag to prioritise
  • Service targetsHours for orders, totes and putaway; alert thresholds per lane
  • Stale thresholdsDays of supply before a SKU leaves prime bins
Intelligent modeOctane decides, and shows you why.
  • Dynamic slottingFast movers migrate to the easiest reach as demand shifts; crowded bins are split before false skips start
  • Self-tuning batchesSegment order and the age override move with the queue, hour by hour
  • Predictive replenishmentPick faces are topped up from tomorrow's demand, not today's empties
  • Load-aware routingOrders drift to the site with headroom; transfers are planned before a site runs dry
  • Crew guidanceThe console says how many agents each stage needs for the day ahead, from the sale calendar
  • Audit-driven fixesBins, labels and shifts that produce errors are flagged with the fix, from the same analytics you see

Every decision Intelligent mode makes is logged and reversible. Turn it on per site, per stage, or for everything.

Three apps, one engine

Every person in the chain gets a screen built for their job.

Floor staff work from a scanner. Managers run the building from a desk. Sellers watch their stock arrive, unit by unit.

Multi-warehouse by design

Run one warehouse or a network. The software does not care which.

Every site has its own bins, crew, dashboards and stock ledger. Orders, stock and rules work across all of them.

Every skip and every putaway, audited agent by agent.

Most systems take a picker's word that an item is missing. Octane checks each claim against the next physical count, so managers see real stock-outs apart from human error.

Where Octane stands out

Eight things a global WMS treats as an exception. Here they are the daily work.

1

Accuracy loop

Every skipped pick is checked by the next count: a real stock-out or a picker error, proven per bin.

Stock you sell online is stock on the shelf, so fewer orders cancel for no stock.
2

Fair putaway audit

Each putaway is checked against later counts and cleared when a real move explains the gap.

Fixes the bin, the label or the shift instead of blaming the person.
3

Seller-first receiving

Starts from a seller pickup or a courier number, not a purchase order. Blind count if unlabelled.

Thousands of small sellers send stock without paperwork, and every piece is counted.
4

Age-aware batching

Dense batches go first for speed, but any order older than 18 hours jumps the queue.

Fast picking on sale days with no order left behind.
5

No-code routing rules

Choose the warehouse, or split a shipment, by country, seller, SKU, weight, price or tag.

Operations change fulfilment in minutes, with no engineering ticket.
6

Any number of warehouses

Orders split across sites; stock travels between them, scanned out of one and into the other.

The customer gets one parcel, wherever the stock was.
7

Cash on delivery built in

COD-verified orders gate picking. Refused parcels return by courier tracking number.

Unconfirmed orders are not shipped, and refused parcels are checked and restocked.
8

Intelligent mode

Dynamic slotting, self-tuning batches, predictive replenishment and load-aware routing, driven by the same analytics you see in the console.

One switch, and the floor tunes itself as demand moves.
The accuracy loop

Audits find what a stock report never shows.

In a production audit of more than 25,000 skipped picks, Octane traced each one to the next physical count. The error was not the people. It was the bins.

False skips rise from under 1% to 28% as bins get crowded

77% of audited skips happened in bins holding 11 or more SKUs. The fix was a cap on SKUs per bin, label spacing and stricter bin confirmation, not retraining.
1
A picker cannot find the itemThey tap Skip and choose a reason. The order is not blocked; the unit goes to the next-best bin at once.
2
The bin is flaggedIt joins the cycle-count queue as a discrepancy and can be recounted blind.
3
The count gives a verdictItem still there: a false skip, matched by quantity so putaways in between do not get someone wrongly blamed. Item gone: a real stock-out, and the ledger is corrected.
4
The pattern shows the causeRates by bin, hour, task and agent reveal crowded bins, night-shift gaps and misrouted returns. Each one gets a physical or process fix.
Built for South Asia

Each of these is a daily fact of our market. A global WMS handles them badly, or not at all.

Most domestic orders are cash on delivery

COD-verified tags gate picking, so orders that have not been confirmed are not picked or shipped. Refused parcels come back through their own receiving flow.

Returns are parcels refused at the door

Returns are received by the courier's tracking number and matched to the original shipment, checked against issue types, then restocked or set aside.

Sellers send a few pieces at a time

Receiving starts from a pickup request or a courier number, often by rider, sometimes without labels. Unlabelled stock goes through a blind count so it is still recorded.

One bench, every courier

One packing step books the courier and prints the airway bill. Courier failures become plain instructions for the packer.

PostExLeopardsTCSBarq RaftarDEXSonicQWQERSkynetDHLZip
The diaspora buys too

Domestic and export orders are batched separately. Export orders consolidate into one parcel with a commercial invoice.

Sale days and Eid peaks

Batches build themselves, and any order over 18 hours moves to the front. Order, tote and putaway targets raise alerts before a backlog builds. Every report runs on local time.

Against the best in the world

They lead on automation hardware and plug-ins. Octane leads on what decides results here.
